Philosophy for Theological Studies

This program in Philosophy exclusively offered in SVST is for seminarians or lay people who wish to acquire basic units in Philosophy before proceeding to formal theological studies. It is a 2-year or 4-semester program with classes held once a week for 3 hours. Students are given the option to either follow the curriculum as presented or select specific courses based on their academic and formation needs.

Academic Pre-Requisites

An applicant must have graduated from a Bachelor’s Degree (four-year university course) as specified by the Commission on Higher Education in the Philippines or its equivalent in other countries.

Students shall finish the 17 subjects offered in this course or finish the academic course load of a total of fifty-one (51) units of Philosophy as specified in the program within 2 years.
